Action Type List

Overview

Each of the 16 messages can be mapped to an action executed on the MC6.
This glossary provides the descriptions for the list of actions.

Bank Jump messages will only execute at the end of the cycle. For example, if you have a Bank Jump message programmed with a Press action, it will only execute when you release the switch.

It is important to pair actions correctly as executing certain actions, like the Long Press, will trigger other actions as well, like a Press action.

Press

A single tap to the switch.

A Long Press action will also execute a Press action. Hence, if you want to execute 2 different actions with a Press and Long Press message, you should use a Release and Long Press message instead.

Release

Releasing the switch after a Press action.

Long Press

A single tap to the switch that is held down for at least 600ms.

Long Press Release

Releasing the switch after a Long Press action.

Double Tap

A double consecutive tap to the switch.

Double Tap Release

Releasing the switch after a Double Tap action.

Long Double Tap

A double consecutive tap to the switch that is held down for at least 600ms.

Long Double Tap Release

Releasing the switch after a Long Double Tap action.

Release All

This action groups Release and Long Press Release together.

Long Press Scroll

Messages will be repeatedly engaged while the switch is held down.

On First Engage

Executes with

  1. Any action

  2. When the previous selected preset is different from the current one being engaged

When the same preset is engaged again, the Preset Messages with this On First Engage action will not execute again. When this action is engaged, other messages mapped with actions like Press will also engage.

Example

If Preset B is programmed with a On First Engage message, and the currently selected Preset is Preset A, if you engage Preset B, the On First Engage message in Preset B will execute, along with the other actions like Press etc.

On First Engage (send only this)

Executes with

  1. Any action

  2. When the previous selected preset is different from the current one being engaged

Similar to the On First Engage action, but this action, if executed, will skip any other action like Press etc. This allows you to execute certain messages in a Preset on first engage first, before executing other messages mapped with actions like Press in subsequent presses.

On Disengage

Executes with

  1. Any action

  2. When a different preset is selected from the current one being engaged.

Example

If Preset B is programmed with a On Disengage message, and the currently selected Preset is Preset B, if you engage Preset A, the On Disengage message in Preset B will execute.
